About Drew Lipner

Drew is a visionary leader and entrepreneur with a passion for the maritime sector, as well as contemporizing marine transportation. Following a successful career in media measurement & campaign optimization with InsightExpress, (and later WPP), Drew is returning to his roots on the water; a lifelong passion area. As the Chairman & CEO of Maris, he aims to modernize marine public transportation through the use of highly efficient fully-electric, hydro-foiling, carbon fiber, water-taxis and small-to-medium sized ferries.

This dovetails perfectly with Drew’s lifelong presence on the water, as a USCG Merchant Marine Officer, member of an America's Cup team, as well as being a decorated dinghy and offshore sailor. This transition is further supported by Drew's experience in leading (and eventually selling) InsightExpress to WPP.

With a deep understanding of the maritime industry and a commitment to cutting-edge innovation, Drew intends to partner with clients to design highly efficient and cutting edge vessels. Said vessels will be whisper quiet, stable (i.e. virtually zero turbulence) and will feature world class comfort. Maris' vessels will offer contemporary design paired with Jones Act & Sub-chapter-t Coast Guard compliance.
